I found this article dated 23 April 2019 in the link below, (click away), which will basically tell you everything you need to know about the TM30 and will assist a lot of Xpats that might be a little confused from all the mixed messages on forums and news articles, so for those seeking more information on the TM30, e.g. who needs to register and who doesn't, and where to register, so read away.....

I hope the article assists as it's pretty straight forward, and if anyone is looking to register for the TM30 reporting online, it is within the link in blue so (click away) and register, i.e. if you want to register online.

I am confident once you read the article in the link, you won't need to know anymore about the TM30 and will challenge those who have advised otherwise.

I’m not. It’s too generalised, and contains lots of misinformation.

Care to quote this misinformation with no substance provided in your reply, i.e. back it up !

Like many of these explanations they use the word landlord, which confuses rather than clarifies.

The TM30 legislation, the form, the online system etc does not use the term landlord. Its owner, housemaster or possessor does TM30s. (pretty much anyone who occupies a property)

The 2nd paragraph is incorrect

"It must be completed by the landlord of a property to report the stay of guests within 24 hours of their arrival."

People read "landlord" and automatically presume they are not responsible for TM30s as housemaster or possessor.

OP, the reason there many many threads on tm30 is the numerous varied situations. That article is way to simplistic. Its bit like someone saying.. "whats all the fuss about you can do it online, in person or by mail" Fact is how many reports of no success with online registration. People waiting weeks upon weeks for mail receipt. In person at CW a nightmare if you travel often. Some people actually exit los every few weeks for few days or longer.

Variations in some imm offices requirements. List goes on.
