Remember how these allegedly terrorists came into the country ?
They payed off corrupt immigration staff at the Cambodian-Thai border. The Major Gen seems to have conveniently forgotten to mention that!

Furthermore, if this is really about terrorism, then why wait for four years to start enforcing the TM30 requirements in BKK?

More than three months later, and I'm still waiting for a username/password.

Not impressed with said "improvements."

The online issuing of PW and user name should be automated kike many other platforms. Get with the present day Thailand!!!

And you get a spell checker.   LOL

I registered our house for TM30 online about 2 weeks ago and then got the login/password after 1 week.

Thai HR staff at my work then managed to file TM 30 online, saving us both a trip to that horrible Immigration office.

After that, HR at my work yesterday registered several farang colleagues' condos and houses for TM 30 online,

and got the passwords within 2 hours. (!) Maybe some guys got their asses kicked and were told to speed it up.

This is all for homes in Bangkok, probably handled by the Chaengwatthana immigration office.

That being said, of course I agree with all posters that this TM30 is harassment, and completely insane.

Not that I am defending TM30 or their f##k ups, but If you order something off Lazada, and they are supposed to deliver in 3 days, and your order has not arrived for 3 months, do you wait a further 3 months or call them asking where your order is?

Is it hard to assume that, for whatever reason, if you have not received your login details for 3 months, you will never receive them and you should contact them in person perhaps, should you really want the login details?

The onus is on you/landlord etc to report by whatever means, even if in person, not necessarily online.

Onus, Wife reported by post 6 weeks  ago one of her customers, she knows theyv'e received it as she always sends registered post , still  no answer and now the  customer wants to go away some place and will have to go into CW to tell them.

That's different, she reported and has proof. They scre#ed in that case.

Waiting 12 months for an username and a password knowing it's highly unlikely to ever get them (whoever's fault it may be), is not reporting.

It's like saying you have a tax liability. Just because the online is not working, it doesn't mean you don't have to pay tax anymore. ????

That was my point.

The interview with Khaosod also touched on the strain the Immigration Bureau finds itself under having to cope with 35 million tourists who visit Thailand each year, millions of migrant workers from neighbouring countries and a significant expat community.

Poor them. They brought it onto themselves, they should have left it hidden in the archives, it serves no other purpose than data collection for massive paranoia surveillance. Does not stop crimes and bombs.
