Thai media published a shocking picture of the aftermath of an accident in Surat Thani just after 2 am this morning.

A Nissan March was found wrapped round a lamppost on the Sri Kasem Road.

A 36 year old Thai woman from Nakorn Sri Thammarat was found alive but unconscious inside.

She was taken to Surat Thani hospital with serious injuries after a ten minute operation to cut her free.

Police said she had hit the central reservation curb before being propelled into the lamppost.

They suspected she had just left a well known pub about one kilometer away.

Definitely had the pedal to the metal for that kind of damage.

Drunk (likely), speeding, micro car.

Quite miraculous that she survived.

Strong post or weak car? Not a good advert for a Nissan March in an accident.

Looks like a write off even by Thai standards, this wouldn't have happened if she could have stayed at the pub all night, she would have been too legless to walk to the car.

At 60 kms/hr I would agree at 100kms/hr now that would be different

It did  its  job as designed, to crumple up, if  it  still  looked  good  she'd be more than likely dead.

lucky star watching over.. it was not her day for a visit (jump) to the other side

No worries; Gob it up, Paint it, Fit false plates and on the forecourt at 350,000 Baht, bargain !

Surprised the lamp post is still upright did the next 10 fall over just incase ????

Once the pub hours are extended by a ########## minister she can pace out her drinking better?

"Thai media published a shocking picture of the aftermath of an accident in Surat Thani just after 2 am this morning."   Sadly an all too common image to anyone who has lived here for a while ????

Why don't we just say she got what she deserved if indeed she was over the limit, if so its for the Bib to make sure she doesn't do it again for at least a year.  36 years old who is looking after the kids ?

How many kids does she have ?

The reports only mentioned that it was suspected she had left a nearby pub...

.... It was of course, brake failure after a motorcycle swerved in front of her.... ????

Don't know if wearing seatbelt or not but the battery sure could use some stronger restraint?

drive, don't drink! drink, don't drive! does it make sense? ask this question to the 36 yo woman!
