Hello all

Am I right in thinking that a six month fiancee visa is classed as a "settlement visa" therefore if the birth of a child fell into this 6 month period, NHS treatment would be free?

Thanks in advance

If the foreign fiancee is coming to the UK to give birth to a UK citizen's child (mine), but only coming in on a visitor visa, not settlement because I don't intend to settle in the UK forever, will she still be entitled to free NHS treatment?

Visitors on Visitors Visa are not entitled to free treatment at the expense of the NHS (that includes visits to a GP). If your fiancee is Thai it would be a lot cheaper for her to give birth at a private hospital in Thailand if you dont fancy the government hospitals.
