Android 9 , Microphone gone

I dictate anything which needs writing. But suddenly the microphone is gone. But i can still ask Google for jokes.

Any idea what it can be?

1 i noticed that Android 10 is available . Update done

2 microphone did not reappear .

3 But microphone is working.
Pressing The Home???Button
And say OPEN= Thaivisa it works.

I've tried everything in settings but can't find a microphone

ANY IDEAS?

Yes; maybe delete and reinstall the app.

Good question . I've been looking which it could be . Mic was always part of keyboard and worked on every app be it whatever. May be I need to search for keyboard with mic.

Then indeed you have to check/search for another virtual keyboard.

Or is it hidden in the settings (Language/Input/Keyboard)?

Do a search for "android virtual keyboard microphone symbol missing".

I am not too familiar with this.

Go into the keyboard settings and make sure Voice typing is turned on.

If previous suggestions don't work, try going through your permissions.  Not Android, but in Chrome I accidentally turned my mic. off and had a difficult time re-activating it.  The microphone permission is hidden in audio devices and has very confusing wording
