September 14, 20196 yr Author Good question . I've been looking which it could be . Mic was always part of keyboard and worked on every app be it whatever. May be I need to search for keyboard with mic.

Or is it hidden in the settings (Language/Input/Keyboard)? Do a search for "android virtual keyboard microphone symbol missing". I am not too familiar with this.

September 21, 20196 yr If previous suggestions don't work, try going through your permissions. Not Android, but in Chrome I accidentally turned my mic. off and had a difficult time re-activating it. The microphone permission is hidden in audio devices and has very confusing wording
