Can I get an emergency travel document in Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I lost my UK passport (I'm British) and I have a flight booked out of Chiang Mai next week.

I know I need to get an emergency travel document which I'm told can be obtained via the British Embassy in Bangkok for £100, but flying to Bangkok for a piece of paper is a huge inconvenience. Is there any way get it without going to Bangkok. Perhaps there's an office in Chiang Mai that has the power to grant one?

Yes, you can get one at visa 4 uk, huay kaew road.

Well via them, they will not give you one immediately

You need a police report.  Got to the Tourist Police station up Huay Kaew road past the zoo.
