Popular Post champers
50 years ago, when I was 10, back in the UK, was one of the happiest times of my life. On a Saturday morning I would play football for the school team, go home in dad's car and stop off at the chippy on the way home. At home we would sit in the kitchen eating our chippy dinners and Emperor Rosko was DJ on Radio 1, playing all the days hits. 50 years later and who is on the radio at Saturday lunchtime but the very same Emperor Rosko (on Pattaya 103FM) playing all the great sounds from my childhood. Who'd have thought it?
Crossy
A blast from the past definitely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_Rosko His Radio Caroline contemporary (the great?) Tony Blackburn is still going strong on BBC Radio 2, same voice, same jokes, same dog sound effect (Arnold), same wonderful music!
champers
As well as his golden oldies show, the Emperor has a Country and Western show which is on Pattaya 103FM at about 6pm on a Monday, but best to check the station's social media. I'm not the biggest C&W fan but he is a great DJ and the show is good fun. I believe he records both his shows weekly in LA and they are syndicated to different stations worldwide. He often reads out messages from fans in Pattaya as well as the UK. Long may the Emperor reign! Edited September 21, 2019 by champers
