I agree ;flown with them many times as the parent company fails to fly to CNX after 1900. Each arrival at Swampy from overseas is normally about that time. The book in crew are great, yes they SMILE, aircraft always on time for departure and arrival, on board flight attendants are very helpful and the snack they give you is edible.  Compared to Thai International Thai Smile is miles in front on every customer interaction.

There are no good airlines. There are some that are the 2nd layer of hell (Singapore) and those that are the 7th Layer of hell (Sudan Air). In between is merely the difference between germs.

Thats why I enjoy these topics, folks arguing over "how good" airlines and airports are. To me, it would be better off to argue "how less bad" is one or the other.

So what's wrong with Nok Air?

Lovely hosties and the same miserable snacks as Thai Smile

And you can't nock 'em when they hand out cheaper fares ..

I love Thai Lion Air for the fact, that they talk the LEAST during the flight.

Air Asia takes it all; flying commercial radio blaring all sort of incomprehensible nonsense advertisements through the public announcement from take-off to landing, selling souvenir rubbish by the trolley, reading the entire menu of seriously <deleted> "noodn zoo" which turns out to be MaMa-instant soup and explaining in most terrible English that they would accept all sorts of currencies however the change would be in Thai Baht.

Nok Air keeps on doing roll calls by reading down the entire name list of the crew - as if anyone would care; they in turn don't address you with your name but "customer" (ลูกค้า) and their names read normally Nok Melon, Nok Duck, Nok Red, Nok Benz and Nok go-only-knows-what.

Thai Smile is more than double the price of a low cost airline (albeit from Swampy) with a very arrogant approach by the crew looking down on you like if we should be eternally grateful for them flying us - and in between is the only professional boutique airline which I love most - Bangkok Airways.

But then again, everyone has his favourite ...........

I find comparing airlines ridiculous.

Last year I booked BKK-SYD return with Bangkok air, checked in at the Qantas check-in counter, hoped on an emirates flight and ate food clearly labeled Thai airways. The plane came out of one of two factories. watched a movie, went to sleep,

If there was something wrong, not sure which airline I would have been complaining about.

I find Bangkok Airways far better. Staff are more helpful and there is always coffee. Meals are better too.

Meals? What meals.
