Who did he present evidence to?

In an interview lately with cuomo he said he would not give him the affidavit evidence as cuomo is not a prosecutor.

So did he provide the evidence to a prosecutor?

Even if Giuliani’s claims were true, and they are not.

How do they provide a defense for the President attempting to extort a foreign leader to provide dirt on a prospective political opposition candidate in the coming elections?

You are banging on with off topic fake claims and doing everything you can to deflect from the impeachment of Trump.

There is an accord signed between the US and the Ukraine where they agree to share information on investigations. Trump was well within his right to ask for help. And there was no extortion. The question of the withholding of foreign aid for the Ukraine did not occur until months after the phone call. There was no quid for the quid pro quo. That Biden is a candidate for something is irrelevant. Running for office is not immunity. The White house had no problem running an investigation of Trump during the last election. Hilary too was investigated.

And how am I deflecting from the impeachment of Trump. There is no impeachment, and nobody in  congress is distracted by Thai Visa posts.

All there is is this very entertaining Democrat self immolation which has been ongoing for years.

1 there was no investigation. Trump asked that they do one. Illegal.

2 there does not need to be extortion. Simply asking for it is illegal.

3 nothing wrong with invrstigating anyone. The dems did not ask a foreign govt to do it tho.

Thats the difference.

Nope, they have an agreement to share info. Why can't a president ask for information. Why would that be illegal? Countries help each other out with investigations all the time.

What part of....there was no investigation do u not understand.

Trump was asking for one from a foreign govt. That is in itself illegal.

All he had to do was ask his own authorities to investigate it. But he is too dumb to know that.

That's ridiculous. no president is going to go down for asking for information from another president. You better gas up the clown car for the next impeachable offense. Maybe trump will make a grammar error.

He will not get impeached for asking another president for information, He will get impeached for a quid pro quo for personal gain.

And of course you don't provide any reference to the agreement itself, so I will do it for you, by quoting a few points from the letter of submittal that show this treaty cannot be applied to the case of Trump shamelessly looking for dirt on his opponent. For the full text you need to download the pdf file.

Article 1(4) states explicitly that the Treaty is not intended to create rights in private parties to obtain, suppress, or exclude any evidence, or to impede the execution of a request.

Article 2 provides for the establishment of Central Authorities and defines Central Authorities for purposes of the Treaty. For the United States, the Central Authority shall be the Attorney General or a person designated by the Attorney General.

Article 4 prescribes the form and content of written requests under the Treaty, specifying in detail the information required in each request.

The further along this goes, and the more defensive Trump gets, the guiltier he looks. Amusing how the man who is possibly the least patriotic and most disloyal of all presidents, is now accusing Schiff of treason. Who is the guy who committed treason in this equation? How many times has Trump put other counties before the national security of his own nation? First he sold out to Putin. Then he sold out to MBS. Then he failed with N. Korea twice. Now he starts a major trade war and betrays our allies.

Could this man be more dangerous? Could he be LESS of a patriot? Five times a draft dodger. Bankrupts five major companies. Stiffs thousands of small American contractors. Has 3,600 lawsuits he is engaged in at the time he gets elected. Could he be any filthier than that? You could not make this stuff up.

Unfortunately when push comes to shove, many Republican Senators will put the party before their country...

Evidently Rudy (now derisevely referred to as Fruity G) is in the midst of his third messy divorce - he was married to his cousin for 11 years (Wife # uno I think) - so he needs to hide his income. He has admnitted as much (shocker). So he's made side deals to defer this income.

I'm trying to think of the Godfather character which suits him...can't...no one this idiotic...everyone can't be Fredo.

At times like these with these slimy politicians, I'm glad to be just a Joe Schmuck American who owns 25 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.  They might come in handy.

Yes, I'm sure they'll build a statue of you somewhere in ~ 60 years. Not.

Needless to say there will not be any memorial Guiliani buildings, statues or schools, and if any currently exist they'll be renaming those quickly.

No doubt he will soon be thrown under the bus, or forced into exile. This is a one man wrecking crew. To say he is incompetent and a dangerous loose cannon, would be an understatement.

Trump derangement syndrome has got you speaking in tongues now.

This has been one roller coaster ride for you here hasn't it? You started of with some wild conspiracy asserting that 'It's likely that Burisma was an asset of the CIA and being funded to counteract Russian influence in the natural gas industry' which then pivoted to (unfounded) assertions that the Ukrainian prosecutor released documents 'that include the statements from the prosecutor who was fired on Biden's demand that he was indeed investigating Burisma' and that 'Giuliani provides evidence the prosecutor was fired for investigating Burisma' to where you are now which is the absolute nonsense that 'There is an accord signed between the US and the Ukraine where they agree to share information on investigations'.

First of all you need to make up your mind which absurd conspiracy theory you're going to go with. I mean that's 3 extreme, wildly unconfirmed conspiracies in one thread; is this your personal best?

I will repeat one last time; it is a crime for any American (not withstanding someone as senior as the President) to ask a foreigner for ANY assistance in winning a U.S. election. Regardless of quid pro quo or financial inducement, there is no doubt this happened and no amount of absurd conspiracy theories are ever going to change that.

You got all of it correct, except the parts about the documents Giuliani has are unfounded. I am glad you are paying attention. Biden was dirty, filling the family treasure chest through his influence. Prosecutor smelled a rat in Burisma which threatened Biden's supply. Prosecutor got fired. And there is an accord signed between Ukraine and the US it has been around for many years. One member even showed a portion of it.

Now you guys want to impeach Trump for looking into Biden's dirt and elect Biden like it never happened. The world is screwed anyhow, so bring on the crazy what do I care.

Sounds like the words of someone who has given up. So sorry our president has driven you off the edge.

Maybe a loved one can give you a hug? Or a pony?

You know in the dystopian novels the majority of the people are so convinced they are right, but they are clearly brainwashed and deep in the fallacy of the state propaganda. And as you read it you hope at first that they might see how stupid they are being, but later in the book you don't care anymore. Let them be stupid, they are happier in their ignorance. You still hope for the protagonist, who invariably is red-pilled and aware. But the rest you care nothing about anymore. That's where I am at. Let the NPC's have their illusion. It's a kindness really.

No not because trump wants to investigate him. Because he asked a foreign govt to do it. If he asked his own agencies it would be ok

I consider that conservative parties in so called western democracies believe they have a "God given" right to rule in their respective countries and will go to any lengths to win elections.

Trump's chances of winning a second term are slim, even the most rabid diehards must doubt there'll be a second miracle.

At what stage will the GOP toss him and try with another candidate in the attempt to hold on to power?  Many of them face losing their own seats in the Trump backlash.

Perhaps this process might give them the way out.

Of course the do nothing, American senate is not known for it's acumen. A filibuster won't work with this.
