If I enter Thailand from UK by air on UK passport I get stamped in for 30 days. I read that this might be extended for a further 30 days using local Immigration Office.

Is this so?

What is required to support the application?

If you stay at an hotel then they should fill the Tm30 for you and you don't need to think about it. You can ask them to make sure they fill it for you.

You need a copy of main passport page, copy of last stamp page + tm6 departure card, a passport sized picture and 1900 baht. I recommend bringing your own pen.

Yes possible no problem. Will need photo copy identity page and your entry stamp tm6.

Depending where you apply a tm30 also.

Thanks.

Is there a financial requirement?  I do have Thai bank accounts with adequate funds.

I plan to submit TM30 at local office within 24 hours of arrival with my Thai wife as property owner reporting.

No financial requirement, other than the 1,900 baht fee.

If married to a Thai you can apply for a 60 day extension.

Wife must attend, proof of marriage.

Just to be clear. With a 30 day visa exempt stamp in my PP I could apply for a further 60 day extension on the basis of having a Thai wife? Any idea which TM Form number that is.

I am currently in UK and may need to travel to Thailand at short notice staying for a short period but would like to be able to extend to 90 days if necessary.

Form TM7, same as for any extension.

Same fee 1,900 baht.

30 day VE + 60 day extension to visit Thai wife = 90 days.

Passport.

Passport photo.

Copy of photo page.

Copy of Entry stamp.

Copy of TM6.

Copy of Marriage certificate. (Kor Ror 3)

Copy wife's Tabien Baan.

Copy wife's ID card.

Updated Kor Ror 2 may be requested (available from Amphoe - 20 baht)

Wife must attend for the application

Thank you Tanoshi and other responders. That should satisfy my requirements

You will need a return flight ticket within the 30 days if entering on a Visa exempt. Alternatively any ticket out of Thailand (land or air) should do as long as it is within the 30 days.
