Using a photo older than 6 months ( for visa extension)
For the OP, I hadn't considered the situation where they could look at the photo on a previous application and see it's the same and too old. In that case, I would get a new one. -

Using a photo older than 6 months ( for visa extension)
That’s actually a VERY good point! My passport photo’s about five years old, so if they're checking against that, the whole system’s a bit flawed, isn’t it? Can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that before, cheers for pointing it out. Now I’m even more baffled about why they’re doing these close checks, not to mention the strange “evidence style” photo holding the passport and receipt 😅 -

Report International Unity Stressed at Thai-Chinese Forum for Harmonious Civilisations
Picture courtesy of Bangkok Post The 2025 Forum for Harmonious Civilisations underscored the importance of international unity and cultural dialogue in fostering a peaceful and unified global future. Held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic ties, the event highlighted shared values and cultural exchange as pivotal to global harmony. Sun Chunlan, president of the International Confucian Association (ICA), emphasised the forum's role in advancing Confucian ideals of peace and mutual respect. She praised the cultural ties between Thailand and China, noting how Thailand’s embrace of Buddhism aligns with Confucian values of moderation and harmony. "Our two nations have engaged in mutual learning and cultural sharing for generations," Sun stated. Reflecting on recent diplomatic achievements, she added, "Thailand and China are more than neighbours -- we are siblings." Phinij Jarusombat, vice president of the ICA and president of the Thai-Chinese Cultural Relationship Council (TCCRC), stressed the theme of this year's forum, "Harmony and Coexistence: Promoting the Prosperity and Progress of Civilisation." He highlighted how fostering understanding and shared cultural values are essential foundations for global progress. The event attracted key figures such as Defence Minister Phumtham Wechayachai, Chinese Ambassador Han Zhiqiang, former Thai prime minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, and former Italian premier Romano Prodi. Mr Phumtham commended the forum's commitment to dialogue amid increasing global tensions. He remarked, "Human history is filled with moments of unrest and tension. Conflicts often arise from an inability to coexist with differences." Mr Phumtham called for constructive communication and true reconciliation, urging genuine collaborative solutions that respect all viewpoints. His message underscored the necessity of listening and understanding in resolving global conflicts peacefully. In bringing together diverse perspectives, the forum reinforced the importance of international dialogue and collaboration in achieving a peaceful and prosperous global society. It highlighted the enduring value of cultural and diplomatic exchanges in building mutual respect and understanding among nations. Adapted by ASEAN Now from Bangkok Post 2025-06-12 -

You didn't get my point. Why should a 6 month old be a problem why you can travel with a passport almost 10 years old. -
