ChatGPT agrees that more COVID vaccination --> more cases
Complete nonsense. Correlation is not causation. By the same false logic one could conclude that aspirin or paracetamol increase the number of cases of fever causing diseases. -

Living in Thailand
How many of the accidents up country are reported to the police and how many are shown in the media? When things happen in rural areas, who reports it? Who publishes what happens? If in Bangkok on a busy junction someone dies, then probably thousand of people see it and there is a good chance that someone will publish it. But up country, on a little road, who is there to report it? And even if we have statistics, how detailed are they? I.e. I live in lower Sukhumvit. I am sure this area of Bangkok is very different from many other areas in Bangkok. And one village up country is different than another village or a small town or whatever. So if anybody want to live in place A, then that place should be well defined. I.e. do you live in an expensive condominium in Thong Lor? Or in some little Soi in On Nut? Or near a slum near the harbor? It's like asking how much money people earn. Some earn little, some a lot, and you won't earn the average of those numbers. -

Thailand cracks down on fake visa holders: Pakistanis face blacklist
Photo courtesy of Aviation A2Z By Puntid Tantivangphaisal Thai police are tightening the screws on travellers using fake documents, with Pakistanis now facing blacklisting if caught. According to ARY News, the Thai Consulate in Karachi has introduced stricter visa guidelines, ensuring that all applicants submit original, verifiable documents, including genuine airline tickets and hotel bookings. A consulate official confirmed, “Anyone caught submitting forged documents, including travel agents, will face strict action, including blacklisting.” The move aims to curb fraudulent entries and strengthen immigration control. This crackdown follows a major bust last year, when Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration team foiled an attempt by two travellers using fake visas at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. During the operation, the FIA arrested Nazar Abbas who attempted to fly to the Turks and Caicos Islands via flight TK-709 with a forged Cuban visa. Umme Salma, a woman caught trying to travel to Iraq on flight IA-432, using a counterfeit Iraqi visa was also nabbed, reported Ary News. An FIA spokesperson confirmed the arrests. “The arrests highlight the growing issue of fraudulent travel documents and strict action will continue against offenders.” Source: The Thaiger -- 2025-01-30 -
