has asked Constitution Court judges if they want to see Thailand trapped in a vicious cycle of civilian government and military rule, or to move forward to real democracy.

Judges can not answer that question,

personal opinion is not warranted,

ceasing operation by the due date or not, is the only question we would like to know the ruling on.

Where anarchy is present the military are sure to follow!

Thailand has both camps filled with soldiers... it's a done deal whatever the outcome!

Change will come, because of modern technology and the modernizing economy which requires better educated & more competent work slaves.

Come back in 50 years and things will be vastly improved ...

36 years later, it appears from experience to have gotten 10 times worse.

Or they moved back to the caves. But then, I see that as an improvement compared what is now.

Why would he go to such lengths to transfer shares in a company that had "ceased operating". Someone is playing semantics here.

Probably because one of the rules about being a prospective MP is that they are not allowed to hold stakes in media companies.

Obviously because he wanted all the T's crossed and the I's dotted. Don't be so cynical.

The current judiciary was established by the 2007 Constitution that was the product of a military junta. Since then the judiciary has remained intact during both civilian and military rule.

Nary was there a word or action of protest (ie., mass resignation) by the judiciary with the 2006 and 2014 juntas abolishing and rewriting constitutions. In fact the judiciary was principal in revoking several General Elections wherein a majority electorate voted against or expected to vote against pro-military factions as well as supporting the ban of anti-military political parties from elections as pursued by pro-military political forces.

The judiciary has been only trapped by its need for self-preservation of authority sustained by undemocratic authoritarian institutions.

Good to see someone trusts a politician.

The problem is THIS. Peer pressure. They cannot, possibly, be honest as their career, hopes, and dreams rely on COMPLIANCE.  They could have 5 minutes of 'fame' by not conforming but then 30 years to rue that 'heroic' decision. It is only after the dinosaurs are gone will Thailand change.
