The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will file charges this month against Chaiwat Limlikhitaksorn, the chief suspect and his accomplices in the murder of Karen activist Porlajee “Billy” Rakchongcharoen.

Billy, who had disappeared in suspicious circumstances five years ago, was confirmed death after the discovery of his bones in a 200-litre oil drum dumped near a bridge connecting Kaeng Krachan Dam in Phetchaburi province.

Director-General of DSI, Pol Colonel Paisit Wongmuang, said on Sunday (December 1) that police would interrogate staff of Kaeng Krachan National Park, who Chaiwat referred to as witnesses, this week.

“In addition, we will receive a report from forensic experts but there will not be further testimony in writing from Chaiwat as the deadline had expired on November 28 ” he said.

“DSI will summarise the case and file a lawsuit against four suspects in December.”

Meanwhile, a report has emerged that some of the bones found did not match the DNA of Billy, posing doubts as to the credibility of evidence.

I am sure that he is not the only activist who is missed. Or the murders used the big oil drum regularly for other crimes.

What is this?  Ready, Steady (we're coming, we're coming to get you)......Go!

Just arrest him when you are ready, surely?  No warnings.

No DNA found in bone fragments in Billy’s murder case – DSI

No analysable DNA has been found in nine fragments of burned human bone found separately in the river in Kaeng Krachan national park in Phetchaburi province, after the discovery of a 200-litre oil drum containing human remains, the DNA of which had markers matching the DNA of Billy’s mother, Mrs. Pairoh.

Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI,) Pol Col Paisith Wongmuang, said today (Monday) that this latest finding will, however, have no effect on the case of murdered Karen community right activist Porlajee “Billy” Rakchongcharoen. The DSI chief said that DSI officials will take testimonies from the forensic officials to be used as part of the prosecution evidence.

Paisith insisted that DSI officials have been meticulous in gathering evidence and have involved forensic experts to make sure that the case is watertight and to ensure fairness to the accused officials and the family of the dead victim.

Is the next step to accuse her for murdering her own son?

DNA matched a family member but No DNA was found in the bone fragments Hmmm so where did they get his DNA from ? Paisith insisted that DSI officials have been meticulous in gathering evidence and have involved forensic experts to make sure that the case is watertight and to ensure fairness to the accused officials  oh and the family of the victim. What next Billy's not dead not him in the drum !

You need to read the Op before making silly comments.

The bones found in the drum WERE matched with Billy's mother's DNA. The separate bones found in the creek were not matched.
