The bills approved by parliament are what we should be using to define our democratic process, not the utterances and remarks of individuals. What David Cameron or Alex Salmond may or may not have said is irrelevant in our parliamentary democracy.

David Cameron comment was obviously a figure of speech. 

If it was to be taken literal should the voters who participsted in 1975 have been excluded. They have had 2 votes on the issue

All the Tory defecting MPs who stood for election were rejected by the public vote and are now out of parliament and will have to find some nice employer who is willing to give them a job.

 

BTW the people who voted Brexit the first time around, and again in the election were joined by even more voters to see Brexit through.

I listened to many politicians pre election promises and didn't believe any of them as none were in power. Now that Boris and the Tories have been returned with an overall majority, the Queen's speech has been delivered, perhaps the country will get behind Boris and get Brexit finally dealt with so that we can ALL get on with our lives.
