lymphoma

Featured Replies

went to see doctor at hospital today.

have a lump on my right buttocks. no pain.

doctor diagnosed as lymphoma. out patient surgery says under 40,000baht.

that sounds way to much for a simple cut and squeeze and a few stitches operation.

can any one recommend a doctor/hospital that would be less money??

made a mistake it is a LIPOMA not lymphoma.

sorry about mistake.

That's the going rate in the top tier international hospitals.

Where are you located?

A friend had it done at Sukhumvit Hospital about 2 years ago, 28000.

I myself had it done at St Louis  Hospital 10 or 12 years ago,  6000 (so today maybe 20000?).

Camillian Hospital probably has similar prices.

Cheapest would be the government hospitals.

It is more than a "simple cut and squeeze", that would be for an abscess which is not what this is. It is excision of a small solid mass, how difficult and what extent of suturing depends on size. Might require general anesthetic if it is large or deep.

40K is a fair price for a private hospital.

If he wants to do it for less, will be around 10 - 15K at any government hospital. There will likely be a wait but as thought to be a lipoma, there is no rush.

They should biopsy it after removal to be certain it is a lipoma and not a liposarcome.
