Popular Post Scot123
Reading what people here say is very disturbing. Trying to blame the victim so as to protect the police and their pristine reputation which they certainly do not have. A police force which is used for everything from murder to extortion. The victim who they thought they had murdered for whatever reason believes they were police. A child who believes he saw 2 police near the incident.

If a driver was he involved in the violence part of the attempted murder? Then you need to take into account the man was nearly beaten to death so with savere head injuries memory maybe cloudy. So many opinions but I bet none have been in a similar situation. I have and I would have sworn 3 or 4 involved but it turned out to be 15. 3 2

Popular Post Benmart
The usual know-it-all posters that arrived at a conclusion based on a story written by another person who most likely was not there when the incident occurred. Leaver
If I had to chose a motive for this offense, I would say real police, or people impersonating police, looking to send a message about paying back a debt. 1

Thai police are just thugs that couldn't find employment anywhere else. The story is believable and for those who say he should be able to tell if he had been beaten by two of it it had been three men do not realize how disoriented one becomes once put under the degree of stress involved in a near death beating.

Why single out Thailand here... when most other countries are hardly any more 'civilized' Because its about Thailand. Your 2 statements are so very bizarre. What police violence in America? Maybe you mean a few utube videos you have see! Do you realize how big USA is and that tiny Thailand would fit in most states let alone the size of their police force compared to thailand so comparing them is unreal. To compare Thai police to other countries as being the same.... Wow!!! Look to the road carnage in Thailand and the lack of policing there of. The constant flow of scams directed by the police please please give examples of the =examples in the UK.

Yes except your last sentence: Thailand is not and never has been a civilised country, it is very much a 3rd world country but many on here forget this fact and try to compare to USA or UK. They seem to wear rose coloured glasses and blindly ignore all that happens that shows their utopia is flawed and heaven forbid you point it out and then your attacked with venom. Evidence shows and is well known the police are currupt, the military are currupt and are the organised crime rings within and let's not forget the currupt government under little D and his military. So the question is it possible the police were involved and the answer very much is most likely. 1

The term "Third World" arose during the Cold War to define countries that remained non-aligned with either NATO or the Communist Bloc. The concept itself has become outdated as it no longer represents the current political or economic state of the world. Also Thailand has never been a colony, another defining aspect to a "third world' country. 1
Popular Post katana
In the Thai press there was a little further information disclosed. Siamrath reported the victim had previous convictions for drugs, burglary and behaving inappropriately with women, but didn't elaborate further on this last point. Thairath in their report sent down a reporter to interview people in the local market which he was known to frequent. 68 year old Mrs Muay, a banana seller at the market, said that he was often at the market but people didn't really interact with him because he was always high on solvents and causing problems. 68 year-old Mr Chuay, a noodle seller at the market, reported that he served him noodles at his stall. Mr Chuay continued that the victim used to carry a stick and knife around with him and had been beaten up by the locals before for molesting women by touching their bottoms. Locals didn't want him in the area any more because of his disruptive and anti-social behaviour. So looks like it was some form of vigilante justice. The severed fingers might also be explained by the inappropriate behaviour to women... Edited January 2, 2020 by katana
