Wisdom tooth removal

Featured Replies

I have had impacted wisdom tooth for years and its gone rotten and recently a big piece cracked off. will get it checked here in UK but likely get removed in either BKK or CM.

where is the best place to get this done. price not really a factor unless its outrageously more!

thanks

Would not expect it to be an issue at either location and appears you will not be replacing so should not cost too much (although normally more expensive than other teeth).  Procedure is listed as 2-5,000 baht at a popular Bangkok clinic.

i had mine removed at the faculty of dentistry chulalongkorn university

2010, 500 thb

At least you still got a wisdom tooth, most visitors here leave their brain at the airport in their home country.

would the ram dental clinic be (on of) the best in CM?

In general no.  For most things hospital dental clinics cost more than stand alone dental clinics without delivering anything better.

There are many good  Dental Clinics in CM, majority opinion seems to be that Grace Dental Clinic is the best, though there are several other places with fans as well.

However for something like impacted wisdom tooth there can be an advantage in doing it at a hospital dental clinic in terms of anesthesia. Clinics will often do it with just a local and with good reason (too risky in case of adverse reaction; transfer to a hospital not as quick and basic EMT services not as good as in the west) and while that is endurable it would not be my first choice. In a hospital you can get short acting IV sedation that knocks you out (though may have to request it).

For ordinary dental care  though I would certainly advise Grace over any of the hospitals.
