darksidedog
A number of bickering and flaming posts predominantly between two members have been removed. You will remember forum rules and post with at least a modicum of respect for others or face the consequences. Further infractions will see posts summarily removed and warnings dished out.

I think it's the Generals country, and the Thais hardly have any more rights in it than the foreigners. I rarely have problems with Thais either, apart from immediate family I restrict my interactions with them to simple commerce. I never rented mine out and my family is Thai. Many do aside of only allowing them to marry the one the mother accept, based on status and wealth only. Guess that does not count as renting but it is still a form of selling. So many girls with broken hearts over a real love that wasn't accepted by family. Popular Post Mitkof Island
I think with all the Thai bashing here answers the OP's comments. The root of most of foreigners problems is THEIR behavior. Seen so many over the years with a scowl that could sink a fleet of ships. Dress like a pig, act like a jerk , hanging with Thai women from the bars, drinking yourself to death, make zero effort to learn Thai might just be the tip of the iceberg as to all your problems 4 1 1

Popular Post Mansell
I think a lot of this stuff depends on where you live. I find people here in Korat just fine, mostly pretty friendly. My Thai neighbor Tom comes over with his kid to play table tennis with us. Him and other neighbor brought us some food which we reciprocated. We have only lived here in this house since mid November. Most of the people I deal with in the city in the Malls always friendly to me. It is still the land of smiles for me. Sometimes we need to look in the mirror and see what we are projecting out to the world.....then we will know why we get what we get. Congrats on Liverpool.....seem to be setting new records every week. 3

You should try Spain! Made 3 trips the last 13 months, and enough is enough! Never go back there. Not only the locals, but the expats there as well,,,,,,,,, who influenced who for this hostile stand off? Spain used to be a poor country, now they just want to <deleted> off everyone back to their home countries. Popular Post Roy Baht
Thai people are going through a rough time. Please forgive them if you are not "feeling the love". It's posts like this that greatly increase my sympathy for Thai people while greatly decreasing my sympathy for farang expats whose lives here (even with a bad exchange rate) are much better than most Thai people's. Try smiling at other people rather than always expecting them to smile at you. Edited January 14, 2020 by Roy Baht
