I need a van with a driver for a 3 day rental to tour north of Chiang Mai.  I know there are a million places that have vans and drivers but I'm trying to find one that's reliable.  I need a driver who will is polite, will maintain the legal speed limit (or driver slower if we prefer), and not drink while working.  This may be a tall order in Thailand!

Has anyone used a local rental place and been happy with their service?

Thanks.

Why can't you drive yourself? 800 baht/day for a Honda City, and your fate is in your own hands. Apologies if that doesn't help.

Actually, you are asking for a farang driver, but they are not allowed to work.

I want a Thai driver.  I've seen polite van drivers like I'm looking for over the years but I don't know where to find one.  I have several people traveling and lots of luggage and a rental car is not an option.

My Thai girlfriend who has her own small limited Tour Company uses a local van driver who I have been with and is very good and reliable. How best to contact you privately would be best. She can speak English and can ask for you. Cheers.
