Yeah, another gem from that report.

Amnat Wichayanuwat, sec-gen of the Office of Basic Education Commission, said Prasithchai would be fired from his post if his crime is proven in the court.

Wow, better not mess with Amnat, he really means business

Maybe explain to Amnat that if Prasith Chai is behind bars on death row, he is unlikely to be concerned about being fired from his job.

Interesting. Are they then suggesting that he went there to murder someone and the robbery was a diversion? Would surely have been easier to do the murder away from the CCTV.

I don't think a re-enaction would be wise with this one.

Irony not your strong point ST?

This will make a good netflix documentary for sure.

yes .... make sure it's him.

Yes, let's hope so, the concern for me is the term "Safe House"

A day in an RTP safe house would get a confession out of me I'm sure.

Should be able to pay off a large part of his teacher's debt that they all are reported to have.

he'll  need  to do another 2.5 robberies/murders if  its  the normal 3.1 million  owed

They say he is held at an army camp (one of the few places where he can survive I guess), national police chief on the way by chopper.

meanwhile  those good  ole "cosplayers"  are  having a  whale  of a  time  copying  him, .........can u  believe it.

The report identified the suspect, Prasittichai Khaokaew, as a firearms coach

Wonder where, and from who, he got his firearms training?

Well god bless my underwear. It's just that, Rott, a continuation of the initial ironic post. But never mind, maybe you're an American...

I guess the guy with a red bag in Nong Khai can risk putting on clean underwear now.

see ................ I told you all they would get their man real soon.

right again  !!!

I'd like to see the guy they got and his walk .... as his gait will find him out for sure  !!

well done  RTP  ....     nayers wrong again  ...lol

I honestly can't tell if this is satire or not

safe house = torture chamber.   i hope they got the right guy.   but i can't really see them framing up a school director.

The fact that he shot a woman 3 times is a definite give away however if he was at lunch with his gf the next day i wonder exactly the beef was it obviously was not a crime of passion unless of course it was has wife he shot.

It will be interesting to see how and where they hold the trial.  I would think that they will keep him on the military base until the trial is over to make sure that he makes it to trial.

Aha!

They have a proven record of always arresting the right man/ men!

Especially, if some "influential people" are somehow involved...

I think the baby's death was a ricochet too, so that makes more sense. A hit disguised as a robbery was my initial thought

Deep respect and gratitude to Lopburi police department for their excellent work.

A nod of recognition to the TVF amateur sleuths who suspected that robbery was not the primary motive. I admit I was very surprised by this development.

Lopburi is my home province. Big sigh of relief this guy is behind bars.

the 38 year old is believed to be a senior civil servant and is either a teacher and/or director at a school

So which is it. My 10 year old could do better than this. "...either a teacher and/or director." Hands up class. Who's seen a director teaching?

If he's from a hi-so school will they name the school?

Unbelievable that you got, so far, 5 confused/sad emojis for that perfectly reasonable comment.

From the web page of the school in question it looks very small. It is not uncommon in my home country for pricipals to also teach in smaller schools in provinces with low population. So to see this suspect having dual roles is not anything out of the ordinary.

I think CCTV got him. Throughout the area police followed the motorbike till later worked out where he went.

I bet it was the gun with the silencer on.not really a tool for robbery and unusual.someone probably wanted the reward and knew he had such a weapon.

I hope every foreigner that decides to to their kid into a Thai school has their head examined.

Really? so by the same reasoning nobody should visit the UK because there is a lot of Knife stabbing going on, so you are certain to get stabbed. Don't fly anywhere because there have been aircraft crashes. No need to get hysterical because of one callous school teacher.

I went to a school where the director was also teaching (not in Thailand). I would guess that this is standard at all smaller schools.

Thai police are expected to announce the arrest of a man wanted for killing three people at a shopping mall in Lopburi earlier this month.

From the OP...

"He was arrested in Singburi and taken to a "safe house" where he admitted his involvement"

There's a connection between this teacher and every other Thai school?

It's a similar mechanism to that whereby anybody who doesn't agree with wokeists is a Trump loyalist.
