BANGKOK (Reuters) - The health minister in Thailand, the country with the most confirmed cases outside China of the new coronavirus, called an emergency meeting on Sunday with the transport and tourism ministries amid rising public discontent over the government's handling of the illness.

Public hearing in the US on Jan 30 to discuss tariff privileges for Thai products

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) will open a public hearing on January 30 on the suspension of tariff privileges for Thai products under the Generalised System of Preferences (GSP), Thailand’s Department of Foreign Trade (DFT) said.

Chinese-language interpreters needed to interview arriving Chinese tourists

(Reuters) - Kobe Bryant, who won five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and was considered one of basketball's all-time greats, was killed in a helicopter crash in California on Sunday morning, officials said. He was 41.

A 60 year old Hungarian man who was set to be deported to face charges in his home country after he hid out and overstayed in Thailand was found dead in his holding cell at Suvarnabhumi airport on Sunday morning.
