The opposition has yet another case and reason for why this person of military Elite character and all his clown cohorts should be sat down and banned from any government or public office.

Sounds like he would be happy to change Visa On Arrival to Virus On Arrival?

Scores on here cheerled him into office.

Hilarious.

Admittedly, some were so glad to be rid of another Shin...  But I don't remember anyone here cheering him into office.

I do recall a collective sigh of relief that a bad situation in 2014 didn't explode into bombings and gunfire and mass killings on the street, as has happened several times in the past.  Along with some cautious optimism.  Optimism that didn't pan out, unfortunately.

Now I know how he got his dose of corona. I guess nobody mentioned he should disinfect the tongue after sucking up to the Chinese.

They've dug their own grave here and this is the 'perfect storm' type of situation which will be their undoing.

Indeed they have, and the pacement of the final nail in the coffin has already been marked out by Thailand having the highest number of cases outside China, thus creating a clear link between Thailand and China.

Anybody with a brain is going to find somewhere else to sunbathe.

Why is the Thai government not looking at what other neighboring countries have done to take action? And China itself?

Is transmission by fecal matter is possible?

Because Thais always know best. After all, God looks after Thailand. And Israel. And Americky.

Must be a real pleasure for a Chinese tourist to be in Thailand anyway. Everybody pointing and screaming in terror. I suppose it's fun to play T-Rex.

I think the tip came out from the other end already.

Because it's all about the money not the loss of human life same as the road toll? The elite are heavily invested in the big profit health industry as well.

Correct. I was not referring to Buddha. Thai Buddhism is a tapestry of fake and copied ideas anyway. Like most things Thai.

i like the way he mentions “think carefully” as if he understands the concept. He has similar body language to Hun Sen, and the stupidity to boot.

No.  He always has been.

The Thai Military and the Thai Rich/Elite have strong ties to the Chinese going back a long way.

The severe recession will be impetus for the real Thai People to take back some control of their Nation and lives.

I could say much more but I will not - think about it all along those lines (between the lines).

I certainly wouldn’t argue with you on that one.

That said, I am not sure that God - and the Christian church’s credentials are any stronger.

Well they must be bloody small peas!

Me and my Thai family are now in Oz, permanently. Today's "Courier Mail" (QLD newspaper) listed the countries most at risk of this virus - LOS at number one, followed by all asian countries. We already have cases here, mostly Chinese tourists, but no one is dead here yet. Who knows how bad it is - are we really getting the truth ?

I think at the end of this decade Thailand could be totally unrecognizable from what it was just a few years ago and a total Chinese colony. If you think it is bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Unfortunately for leaders who are challenged on every level of decency and intellect your surrounded by people that tell you how right and fabulous you are ????

Agree. I think we are of one mind on this matter - and perhaps associated matters as well.

Not so sure. upheaval certainly but not quite so much in China's pocket as you fear. But. A populace gets the government i deserves. First, the Thai people need to grow up and deserve better.

Wait till Thailand has 2,3 or 4000 infections which could easily happen and then the flights stop coming into Thailand and countries advise not to visit Thailand ,then he will see the damage to tourism which will last a few years as usual short sightedness and just looking at tommorows tourist money.

it really is unbelievable Russia shutting its borders ,French airline staff and pilots saying they don’t want to fly china and Thailand saying its ok all Chinese can still come.

Which is why it was said by someone in Thailand's government.

You'll find that Thailand is a real, independent, sovereign nation.

There's also no reason to think that this virus will disappear for years, it's got a foothold now, it's here to stay.

Just like the very similar SARS coronavirus epidemic a few years ago, you mean?  The one that never got a permanent foothold and wasn't here for years in terms of infections?

Try to pick the lessor of the two evils and it is a toss up? I mean for us foreigners that is. Thakskin did nothing for us foreigners same as we are now being attacked and under the table alienated by the current regime. All racist crapola. FFP is the new hope, but fat chance on that materializing. Ben- Obi-Wan Kenobi as our only hope is non existent. Pitty.

It won't discourage them it will cut them off, effectively banning Chinese from entering Thailand.

This will not please the governments Chinese masters.
