I've seen videos of people accepting the masks from the filthy hands of Anutin and others but haven't seen anybody then put those masks on. 

 

I wonder how many were put into a bag and promptly forgotten.

 

A bit like when I go to Central with MrsL - she's inundated with handouts from perfume shops, slimming shops, cosmetic surgery shops etc. which she doesn't want and has no intention of following up but she's reluctant to say "No thanks, not interested" - I have to get between her and the tout to keep them away ;-).

Indeed. Power and it's outward accoutrements are what are really important to the average Thai pooyay. It's what lies behind the whole 'face' thing. Masks are a very small part in prevention. Mostly washing hand, covering cough in arm, hygiene, etc are why the virus spreads.

Was the Health Minister making reference to Farang tourists only, as you suggest, or to all Farangs in Thailand?

So many countries have banned ALL flights from China and anyone who has been in China over the past 14 days.. 

 

But not Thailand with daily plane loads of arrivals setting foot here. And Thailand is upset with China because all group tours have been banned, resulting in huge economic losses.. 

 

The government doesn't care about the continued threat of corona virus against its own citizens or foreign guests, only economic loss.

Well frighteningly here it is.  Taking attention away from the government ineptitude and how pathetic they really are,  by spreading hate speech and blaming the farang. Because the government is being propped up by big loans/subsidies from China and most of the Thai elite/government are Thai Chin.

Those claiming the wearing of your Garden Variety Mask, will prevent you contracting THE VIRUS are flying in the face of information supplied by Eminent Medical Professionals including the WHO and the CDC.
