Albatros,

I note that your girlfriend previously applied for a visa at the embassy in Paris. Are you French? If so, and you live in the UK, this could have a beneficial impact on any application.

I am not british, I am italian resindent in uk.

I will explain better with the full story:

She was studing in france at that time and we start to chat every night, after 2/3 months i got many problem by myself and i stop to chat with her , in may 2005 she come in uk as visitor to meet a thai friend in luton, one night she call me, she ask if I remember her. We meet in London and we start our relationship, she come to live with me in the last two months she was here. In september she left UK and go back to France. She want to come back to UK to improve her english. I found for her a school for english i paid that school and the school sent to her the enrulement certificare. I send to her all the paperwork to be her sponsor and then she went to the British Embassy in Paris. They refuse the visa because she told them about our relationship, she told them, we know eachother from 2 year, that was true but we never meet before may 2005.

The Embassy don't belive her and they refuse the visa. She appeal but it take long time and she withdraw the appeal because she want to apply again. She was enruled in a French school for hotel management with a brunch in London and she went back to Bkk to apply again. Refuse again because that school was not recognized from the UK governement.

Now she live and work in Bkk and we want to get marry. I am pending of divorce here in UK, I will have my decree absolute in may and we plan to get marry in next september. I went last month in Bkk to stay with her for two weeks and we bougth our wedding rings. If we want to marry in Thailand under the Thai law I will have to wait 310 days after my divorce is absolute ( too long). So we want to get marry in UK, I live and work here from 7 years. We want to apply for UK fiancee' visa but honestly I am very worry about the two past refusal. We have lots of proof of our relationship.

That's all!

If someone can give to me some advice will be very appreciate.

Sorry if i write english very bad.

THANX

Albatros,

Yes, your girlfriend can apply for a fiancée visa for the UK and this now costs £500.00. I am not aware of any waiting period post-divorce in Thai law, although I shall check this out, so I would recommend marrying in Thailand and your wife can then apply for a family permit for the UK which will be free of charge.

I'll give a more detailed reply later. I'm afraid I'm a bit busy at the moment.
