Thai police in the north western border town of Mae Sot have said that two of four suspects wanted for the murder of a Chinese businessman in Thailand have been arrested near Yangon the capital of Myanmar.

Arrested by the Yangon police were Fan Gang Gang and Qin Miao along with a Myanmar woman called Aung Hlaing Win who aided in their escape.

The Chinese men were stopped at the port of Insein as they were about to flee the country.

Taken into evidence was a hired car, two fake Myanmar ID cards and 232,000 kyat (a little over 5,000 baht).

Two other Chinese men remain at large wanted in connection with the murder of Chinese businessman Wang Jun, 30, who was found trussed up and stuffed in a suitcase in the Ping River in Kamphaeng Phet last week.

Sanook reported that Thai and Burmese immigration officials were heading to the border area of Myawaddy in connection with the matter.

There was no word yet on when the arrested suspects would be brought back to face charges in Thailand.
