I'd be flying back to uk asap.

Forget infection rates in uk where would you prefer to be if the shight hits the fan.

If it were me I would just stay put where you are, wherever that is. Going through at least 2 airports, with staff, passengers, door handles and surfaces etc possibly contaminated, I would guess that the more you travel, the greater the risk. Being packed inside a fuselage with hundreds of people coughing and sneezing is surely way more risky than just staying at home.

There might appear to be more cases in the UK, but that's almost certainly because they are better at testing and are being upfront about reporting the results. There's no "saving face" in the UK. If you do get the virus, there's not a lot they can do in either country anyway.

For me I couldn't really care less if I get it or not, I would be more concerned about being forced into some kind of quarantine for weeks on end. But I would want to know if I was infected to avoid infecting others.

The heat seems to be helping keep it in check here, apparently the virus can’t tolerate much over 26 Celsius. The NHS will implode pretty quickly if the situation in northern Italy is anything to go by.

Providing neither of you are in a category where it could prove dangerous, I'd stay in Thailand.  If you're likely to require medical attention then the UK.  However, will your girlfriend have medical cover in the UK?

Stay in Thailand. See what happens in the UK over the next month or so. The whole of Italy is in lockdown today and this may be the blueprint for all of the euro countries. Plus its miserable winter weather and gloom until spring summer.

Was thinking the same as most if not all cases have been Imported and Tax Free to boot.

The the Original Poster, docspinoff, go when it gets warmed in UK and very hot in Thailand.
