Bangsarey Bars Booming -No Corona Here.

Featured Replies

Despite the local police and authorities going around the small town last Wednesday evening to notify all the various businesses that were considered high risk of the requirements issue by the Government. These being such as bars, restaurants  massage salons etc.. Within a few days there's seemingly very little changed, some have followed the requests and closed.  Whilst other it is a case of business as usual.

Most operators have flouted the law and remain open over the weekend, all along the Beachfront bars and restaurant were open and customers in them eating and drinking. So too in the Sois around the small area off the Main Street, some offering promotions such as free BBQ and discount beers.

Let me just remind anyone who might not be aware or familiar with Bangsarey, this area is under the control and influence of the Royal Thai Navy.....who closed their beaches just a few days earlier.  But still as if just this past few hours many bars are open and have customers in them.

So where is the continuity? Where is centralized leadership? Where is the enforcement?

AMAZING THAILAND.

Apparently nowhere.

There's a submarine heading your way with torpedoes in their tubes.

What's now frustrating me even more, I just went to go take a swim in the communal pool to be stopped by security. Tessa Ban have ordered it closed to residents and the gym!?!?

I was in Tesco Lotus Thepprasit this morning and went upstairs to get some cash from the SCB ATM's. I was surprised to see that it's business as usual in the whole food court area up there. Even more bizarre, to get into the shopping area they're now doing the same as Makro, check your temperature and apply hand sanitiser. But you can go upstairs to eat without any checks or hand cleansing at all.

Have your expectations always been this high? nothings changed here in the last xxx years, did you not notice before how incompetent and corrupt the system was previously?

Now every body is winging, you have only yourselves to blame if you expected this mob to suddenly be competent!

CGW.  Not really whinging was it? More passing comment, making an observation.  Yes I don't have much in the way of great expectations after living here since the early 2000s on and off.

My post was more or less aimed at the bar owners of the town, mostly farlangs and why some showed respect and obeyed the requests, and others who simply through whatever reason, very likely greed selfishness and total disregard, DID NOT follow.

"Now every body is winging, you have only yourselves to blame if you expected this mob to suddenly be competent!"

In regards to your above statement - So how do we/I have our/myself to blame for all this???  Did we vote in "the Mob" as you call them?  NO!

Thank you for that as I was unsure who to blame after reading so many conspiracy theories.....but I wasted my time it was me. I was to blame all the time.  Thanks5555
