Thatchakorn Hatthathayakul, governor of Buriram, confirmed today that an anesthesiologist was tested positive for Covid-19 infection, but it was not a new case as it was one of the five existing cases found in the province.

The anesthesiologist had made no contact with patients at risk of contracting Covid-19 at Buriram Hospital, before presenting symptoms of the virus on March 19.

The condition of the anesthesiologist has improved and 30 – 40 medical personnel of the hospital are now in quarantine for 14 days, Thatchakorn said.

But not before being contagious.

So Newin's much publicized shut down of Buriram (an impossible task for a Thai province but perhaps we shouldn't let that get in the way of a good story) was a failure anyway?

PPE. Guess not. Preparedness. Guess not. Hospital is now worse off to deal with cases and new cases. Absolutetly. Never fear Prayut is here and has taken complete control. Not long now before 'specialists' from China will be here to help. It will all be fine.

p.s. Notice all the dirty farangs in the pic not wearing masks. Stupid dirty farang do not understand social distancing.

How did he do his job then as they are usually quite close to a patient when they are under anaesthetic ..

I note that two out of three people do not feel a mask is needed.

Or self distancing. Don't do what I do. Do what I say.????
