Pictures published on the site of Daily News showed the damage that resulted from a violent summer hailstorm that hit parts of Nong Bua Lamphu in Thailand's north eastern region yesterday evening.

Na Wang Suksawit school was particularly badly hit.

About three dozen homes of various descriptions were severely damaged in the Wang Thong sub-district, said local official Surajit Phensa. Other districts were also hit.

Roofs were shown with holes made by hailstones more than the size of golf balls.

Some areas were blanketed in white.

Local officials were coordinating with kamnan and phu yai ban to help those affected by the storms.

Wow those are damn big hail stones,we need rain, but not that i have a tile roof, hate to think what they would do,we had lightning all night but hardly any rain.

Yesterday evening, nasty gusty wind, a little rain and no hail, we're not far away from Na Klang.

Nakhon Pathom 15:00 Monday 13th, good thunderstorm with rain moving through now.
feels fresh and cool for the first time in a couple of months.

Yes always surprises me how localised the storms here can be.
