The vice governor of Satun province, Sakda Wittayasirikul, visited the Wangprajan border checkpoint to boost the morale of staff as they prepared to receive more people returning from Malaysia. He believed that more than hundred will pass this checkpoint on Sunday (April 19).

Thailand opened some border checkpoints on Saturday to accept Thai citizens from neighbouring countries wishing to return. Facilities to screen the returnees for Covid-19 risk are in place.
