Popular Post superal
The experiment / study failed to replicate the high levels of ultra violet light which when paired with the high SEA temperatures seem to be suppressing the C19 virus . It is not a coincidence that Thailand and its neighbouring countries have a much higher level of tolerance to the virus . Secondly vitamin D ( vital for immunity ) is a big player and in abundance in SEA at the moment but not in cooler climates .

Caldera
Yet another irrelevant test in a lab setting. Monkey kidney cells, for crying out loud! Who funds that nonsense? What we need to know is how long it survives in real-world scenarios. Door knobs, in the air, the likes.

Bring the virus indoors , especially with air con and it will transmit it seems as was the recent case at the Thai boxing arena where it infected many of the audience . Different story out in the 40c heat and high UV

mixed
Nothing will kill the virus because it's not alive. This seems to be another twist in the blame game, suggesting it's Thailand's approach that has slowed the spread.
aj73
That's odd considering Viruses are NOT alive in the first place and replication requires living A2 Receptor cells.. Which the research seems to conveniently leave out the fact that human cells start to denature at 106 degrees Fahrenheit or 41 Celsius. So at 60 degrees Celsius or 140 degree Fahrenheit it seems rather arbitrary that we're worried about whether or not the damn Virus will cause issues if your internal temperature is beyond 41 degrees... but I digress, I get the point that the discovery is the "holy <deleted> it's still an issue" moment! But hey, great to know something that IS NOT LIVING is still capable of kicking our butt if we lick the surface of a dirty hot frying pan! Thank you for the enlightenment.

Greg O
It's not the heat, it's UV from exposure to sunlight that Neutralizes the virus as it's not a living organism like a bacteria. Get on out, Surfs up and or Tee off time, Tennis anyone ? Bikini therapy is recommended ..

As we all know. Covid-19 still spreads but significantly slower, basically killing itself off. Basically this research DOES support why infection rates are many times lower than in European Countries - (or colder Chinese regions) But China has only had a few thousand cases according to the CCP

Stick the virus on a non living surface, eg a flat top table or the skin of your car in the sun out here and maybe it won't do so well.
