Anutin visits Pathumthani, praises health volunteers for tireless effort

 

 

PATHUMTHANI (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Bhumjaithai party members, have visited Pathumthani province to give moral support to local offiicals and health volunteers who have been working hard in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.

 

During the visit, the deputy prime minister praised local health volunteers who are part of the only health volunteer system in the world playing a key role in screening and monitoring the local situation. As chair of the National Health Security Office, Anutin is keen to promote the volunteers into the role of public health officers for greater benefit.

 

Anutin confirmed that due to the current situation, some strict measures can not be eased. The measures are still necessary to control the outbreak, which is showing improved signs. And members of the public can still live normally under the regulation to maintain public health.

 

There are more than 300 health volunteers at Khlong 3, in Pathumthani province covering 16 villages and screening people who enter the area. They also ensure correct practices and the self protection of local residents. Their effort has benefited the province as it has had no new cases of infection for nine days already.
