Better than paying the dole to people to watch tv. Surely, if we manage to get out of this virus nightmare, we should look very seriously at the problems of overpopulation. I am totally against wars, and i think we deserve better than authoritarian regimes and politics, so the Japanese way of responsibly and gradually reducing population seems to be the way to go.
May 4, 20206 yr This was written back in March COVID-19: Into the abyss as global recession looms (video) and everything the writer said here seems to be happening. I won't be flying anywhere in a hurry. I think he's right and most airlines will vanish. Tourism is dead for a long long time, especially international. My biggest concern is the many millions of unemployed, hungry, indebted workers. I suspect the United States of America will not longer be "United" by the end of the year, perhaps the midle of the year the way Americans are acting and this pandemic is being mismanaged there.
