Pattaya: friends in shock as associates of British man asked to come forward in murder of Thai woman

Nong Prue police have asked friends and associates of the man accused of murdering a Thai woman in Pattaya to come forward with information.

 

They are asked to contact Pol Lt-Col Jirasak Aepfaeng immediately.

 

Siam Chon News reporters went to the Ek Mongkhon housing estate where the 35-40 year old woman was found dead.

 

 

The ceiling and floor of a house were covered in blood and there was evidence of drug taking, they said.

 

A Thai friend of the alleged murderer who they called Ping, 48, expressed shock about the case.

 

He said he had known Neil Henry Elliott, 48, for about a year. He said he was a lively guy who was a drinker but he didn't know anything about drug use. He always had plenty of women because he had lots of money, said Ping.

 

Pictures from Siamchon News showed him with police at another location are part of a reenactment. He had met the victim in Soi Bua Khao and been there at 9.13 pm on the 29th.

 

They went to the house and left together in the morning only to return again. Then the suspect left alone and was subsequently arrested.

 

He has been charged with murder and drug use.

Shocking case indeed and hopefully if he,s guilty (little doubt IMHO) he never sees light of day again....but why oh why do they have to drag him down to soi Buk. for a re-enactment when the actual murder took place miles away.......

That was probably where he picked up the woman. Not that it would change anything about the crime though so it does seem to be a waste of time and effort.

That's what happens when you are one of these guys that walk around with no tshirt. At least no he is finally wearing one.

I just read the dailymail article - WAY more shocking than the above story indicates - wasn't expecting that - really graphic photo as well. What a sad case.

I think alcohol ran out, this party girl offered yaba, he normally would say no and accepted this time. Then crazy.
Proper testing in hospital could show wether he used just once or more often.

He has got no friends, well not now

It is expected and even tolerated in some countries's holiday resorts that among the millions of tourists and the flotsam and jetsam of society that the odd screwball will commit a heinous crimes and Pattaya is no different... 

This is a really shocking event.  Terrible for everyone involved. RIP to the lady.

More likely that she asked him for the money owed & he refused.

That's a really good theory - could have been the alcohol ban that led him to experimenting. Definitely needs testing. They don't call it yaba for nothing. He could have been a first timer and unaware of the effects. Or, he could have used before and maybe the bar girl had a strong batch and he had a bad trip - I don't really know how it works.

I would advise the Thai police to request a background check from the PSNI in N Ireland - I think it would be quite revealing

Recall similar situation with that assault on the Brit teacher, Adam Pickles, a few years back at the hands of Sean Tinsley. Some of the outlandish comments of his defenders had to be seen to be believed.

Yea right Yaba turns people into murderers. Do you have any idea how much of this <deleted> is being consumed. They find millions upon millions of those tablets with checks. We can assume that this is only a minor part of what is sold. So there are countless users but almost no murders attributed to it. So its safe to say that 99,9% of the people can use it without becoming killers.  

 

It goes something like this if your an <deleted> in life your a bigger one on alcohol and or yaba or whatever other drug changes your inhibitions even goes for steroids some people become complete idiots when they use it while others have no problem. Its quite easy to blame the drug without knowing if he took it or just took alcohol. Even if he took the drug it does not change someone in a killer without something seriously being wrong already. Drugs just bring out stuff that is already there.

 

You yourself admit you dont know how it works. I do know how it works I did my share of drugs in the Netherlands so I got a pretty good idea how drugs work.

Looks like immigration missed him also. Been here a year and only 48 unless he'd paid up for a 5 year Elite visa. 

Yaba is just a stronger coffee.

 

Other article said they smoked ice. Which would be more consistent with what happened. Having sex all night, murdering someone, having accident on motorbike, screaming about murdering someone in delirium.

His feet must be red raw from the heat - shame

In addition to the other facts, what type of visa does a 48 year old have, 'with money'?   Where or how does he make his money?  RIP the lady!
