Popular Post Crazy Alex
Yes, Greta Thunberg really belongs on such a panel. It's becoming increasingly difficult to take news outlets seriously. https://nypost.com/2020/05/13/greta-thunberg-added-to-cnn-expert-covid-19-panel-twitter-erupts/ When it comes to rational thinking and solutions based on knowledge, little Greta really has nothing to offer. If it can't be memorized off a flash card, it's just not up her alley. 9 4

Popular Post richard_smith237
An absolutely genius move by CNN... what better way to guarantee ratings than chose two the most debatable and emotive topics and combine them in such a manner. Unfortunately, people of the world (myself included) are too stupid to just think and say... marketing ploy, nothing here, move on.... Outrageous, hilarious and ultimately depressing... dystopia awaits us....

Fortunately, I don't watch TV news so will be spared. ????

Dig a bit deeper and you will find her reasoning, personally as she is contributing to UNICEF's efforts to save children's lives during the Covid crisis by drawing attention to the efforts I cannot see why people are attacking her. Ill informed comes to mind. in any case it's only a one off Town Hall meeting she's attending, ain't earth shattering news is it. On April 30, UNICEF said that the young activist had launched a children-first campaign to help protect young lives against COVID-19, pledging a grant of €92,000 ($100,000), awarded to her by Danish NGO Human Act, toward the effort. https://nypost.com/2020/05/13/greta-thunberg-added-to-cnn-expert-covid-19-panel-twitter-erupts/ Edited May 13, 2020 by simple1 4 3

Big deal. She can memorize some snappy lines. She's demonstrated she can't think on her feet. Not a big deal. She's young and mentally ill. But let's just keep it real. So you say people are attacking her. Why yes, when you jump into the adult pool and play adult games, you can expect all that goes with it. Most of the "attacks" I have heard about her are spot on, so I'm not sure how "ill-informed" comes into the picture. Perhaps you can provide some examples.

Greta is 1) high knowledge, genius 2) fluent many language 3) win many award 4) help the community 5) can influence many people 6) young, already do more her life than old people 7) female Same Yinn. So, low knowledge, one language, never win, never help, no influence old men not like her because 1) intimidating 2) jealous. Quite funny. https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2019/09/why-greta-wins/598612/ 2 3

She's working alongside UNICEF to bring the issue of Covid to the fore for children, I doubt most are cognisant of this effort.. For me fine to represent in the CNN Town Hall meeting rather than people attacking her for political reasons or demeaning her efforts 'cause they consider themselves superior when they themselves have not made any recognisable effort to address issues on the global stage. Whether one agrees / disagrees with her platform/s, personally I take my hat off for her efforts. Edited May 14, 2020 by simple1 2

Do you think Greta is a good fit for such a panel? AFAIK you have not, as a sixteen year old, had the experience of getting up before the United Nations and taken world leaders to task for their lack of action on climate change or any other issue for that matter. Disagree with that position if you want, that's not the point. If that does not answer your question, I'm done. If you are trying to convince me this topic will not attract haters like flies to an uncrutched sheep, you must think I came down in the last shower. 3
