A female police captain at the RTP's information section in Pathumwan, Bangkok, had a lucky escape yesterday when a lump of metal came crashing through the roof and ceiling.

Pol Capt Thatchanu Thongpun said she was doing the dishes after lunch when she heard a great noise.

She had just moved to the side, had she not it could have hit her head and killed her.

An investigation is underway.

INN reported that a private contractor is construction a building for immigration next door.

The piece of metal is believed to have fallen off a crane.

Pathumwan police have been informed.

Wow .......

Dodging that lump of metal has to be worth a set of wings for her tunic.

Mind you, if it had hit her, she would have been in need of wings to carry her to a better place.

Safety first, remember folks, especially in Thailand construction projects!!!   :cheesy:

Perhaps the laborers working on the construction project nextdoor were SE Asian migrants...

After all, no Thai would drop a big hunk of metal down onto the RTP headquarters....

Gota keep some female officers who else would there be to do the washing up.

Which begs the Question when if ever will they start to recruit women again into inquiry roles? the excuse before was they are hindered by domestic roles. Yep washing up for the men.
