Kanchanaburi orders control on migrant workers’ movements

In a move to curb new Covid-19 infections, Kanchanaburi provincial authorities issued an order on Wednesday (June 3) prohibiting migrant workers from travelling in or out of the province.

 

Myanmar migrant workers based in Sangkhla Buri, Thong Pha Phum, Sai Yok and Muang districts will also be constantly monitored.

 

This order came after several migrants were caught trying to return to Myanmar via natural borders.
