Songkhla Zoo is reopening for visitors on Monday (June 15) and is offering free entry until June 30 to stimulate tourism after months of closure due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

The director of Songkhla Zoo, Chalermwut Kasetsomboon, said that “Zoo New Normal” measures will be applied to receive visitors while preventive measures for Covid-19 are imposed.

The zoo has been sanitised and redecorated to make it look more natural and its personnel has been trained to welcome visitors in the new normal.

Visitors are required to wear face masks before entering and there will be a screening with thermometer guns, plus social distancing and visitor records.
