Cuz you said 'people don't have to'  I was highlighting another situation where 'people don't have to' but they do.

How do you know what immigration think of 'foreigners'? Obviously you don't.

Can you give one instance of an office that isn't complying with the law.

Each office has the freedom to set it's own requirements of documents in order to meet the law, but that's the same with all Government establishments from Province to Province.

okay

Yes Buriram. The charge requested for transferring your stamps from your old passport to you new one. There is NO charge. And No receipt given if paid. That is against the law. Next.

If indeed there is such a list of chargeable services (which I'm sure you'll publish for the benefit of everyone) and indeed this service should be free, then I'm sure as a conscientious foreigner you duly reported this event to the corruption hotline.

You are absolutely correct. I contacted Helpline 1147, I think it is, and asked them prior to going to Buriram. As said they said there is 'no charge'. When I got to Buriam, as I stated earlier, they asked for 500 Baht, no receipt. I said I wasn't going to pay. They asked why and I told them. I paid nothing and I got my stamps transferred. My only wish is that farangs will not leave their balls, and backbone, outside when going to immigration.

This was the second time I'd had my stamps transferred over the years. First time the officer did it it was me who asked him 'how much?'. Nothing was his reply. Hence how I know the service is free the second time of doing it.

You can report 90 days any time online. Very easy and convenient ????

90-day reports cannot be done "anytime" online, there are specific requirements regarding the period in which it can be done relative to the reporting date.

More precisely on-line 90-day reporting can be done from 15 days before till actual due-date.

Do note that your 'next appointment' will be 90-days after the approval of the on-line 90-day report submitted.  So if you report at the beginning of the reporting window your next due-date will be 2 weeks earlier than when you did it in the final days.

More precisely, I couldn't be bothered looking it up before posting for something that isn't a current requirement, but anyone reporting online will be aware of that as the allowable reporting window is detailed on that site.

Jomtien Immigration is Open & you can do your 90 day ASAP There  very Quick Process & the Immigration Lady is a Keeper

There's normally a man (same guy for several years) behind desk 4 where you do the 90 days report.

It goes from one extreme to the other.

Foreigners complain of overcrowded Immigration offices and safe social distancing.

So the cabinet pass a resolution to automatically extend permission of stay and suspend 90 day reported until 31st July to counter the valid complaints.

Now we have foreigners insisting on submitting 90 day reports when they don't need to.

It's no wonder Immigration think foreigners are fickle.

Actually, it's the other way around.

Foreigners knowing that immigration are fickle is the reason many who can are continuing with the 90 day report. As one poster already stated: peace of mind.

Why don't you all just file a new TM30, just to be on 'the safe side'.

You don't have to, but hell, as you don't trust them .... why not!

I did my 90 report yesterday, because it was due.

If would have travel from my home and stayed a night elsewhere I would have the TM30 upon my return as well.

Thats the beauty of being able to do both online, they only take a minutes at most and no matter what the rules for today are Iam safe in the knowledge mine is sorted.

So where in Thailand does it take someone over 24 hours to do a TM 47 report? Just asking like.   ????

So basically doing the TM 45 has nothing to do with your TM 30? Doh.

correct, the TM47 (90 day reporting) has nothing to do with a TM30 I would do If I stay a night or two away from home.

not much gets passed you does it !!

A classic example of being fickle  :cheesy:

That's just the tip of the iceberg Immigration have to contend with.

That's the point you miss. It wasn't due because 90 day reporting has been suspended.

If thousand thought and acted as you did, then we'd be back to overcrowded Immigration offices unable to practice social distancing ...... and who'd be the first to whinge.

What you risk are the crowds on or around 30 July at Immigration. I did a 90 day report at CM drive thru service last week. Sign said no need, but the IO processed it anyway.

Where is the CM drive thru service?
