Rubbish

The agreement, no weapons at the border.

The Chinese fashion clubs with nails, and like weapons, beforehand. Then they set up a tent on what they know is the Indian side of the border. The Indians come out to take it down and they are swarmed by Chinese. Twenty, twenty four (?) are beaten to death and bashed with rocks and other hand weapons. Many of these could have been saved, but Indians were prevented from rescuing their wounded. They froze to death in a ravine. The Only alternative, is escalate, open up the howitzers, rockets, twin 50’s and let her rip. The Chinese figured that would not happen. NOW All this was deliberate, premeditated on the Chinese part.

So that is how China does business when they think they can get away with it

Note to our troops, be friendly, be nice, smile, never let your weapons out of your grasp. Never EVER allow yourself to be at a power disadvantage or maneuvered into one.

This is the BBC’s report and was amicable in their reporting with headline indication that said ‘both sides tell their story’. Where you get yours?

If they left their weapons behind, there might be some truth to the 30-43 Chinese casualties.

Taiwan and Hong Kong were originally a part of China and China wants them back ; China and India just disagree where the border is .

China doesnt want all of India , just the disputed areas

No Taiwan was never actually part of China until 1945 when the nationaists ruled the whole country and where they retreated to. China lies about Tibet being part of China, Taiwan, Mongolia, parts Of Nepal and India and of course the whole of Mt Everest, time they were called out on their outrageous territorial claims and agressive actions, well done the Indians.

Seem a large portion of Taiwan’s history is missing. History goes back to the 19th century when the Qing dynasty ruled Formosa and had a General Governor in control. Formosa ceded to Japan in 1897 after a series of battles in the mainland. China organized a militia to resist the Japanese from occupying the island but was futile. It was until 1945 that the allies agreed to allow China to take control of Taiwan from the defeated Japanese. The nationalist army lost the civil war and found refuge in Taiwan in 1949. The Taiwan constitution recognized the one China status. Hope the information useful.

Which is part of the issue.

A large percentage of the Taiwan population now understands that they will never take control of the mainland.

They have seen what one country, two systems has devolved into, and subsequently are rapidly abandoning that idea of a single China status, even if it's in the constitution, but they also understand revoking that would be the equivalent to kryptonite to Beijing.

A lot of folks get hung up on Taiwan license plates saying 臺灣省, which translates to 'Province of Taiwan. It's an argument that is often used in simplistic term to say Taiwan is part of China.

Of course it really only refers to the fact that Taiwan is part of the ROC, not PRC, but in reality of course the ROC doesn't exist so it's more of a nostalgic term

Maybe it is about time Mongolia pull out a pen and draw a 500 dash line on a map and teach China a history lesson.
