Just days before a kindergarten in Sisaket was due to reopen after the coronavirus pandemic a building has burnt to the ground in a fire.

An old two story wood and cement building used for art and PE at the Damrongratnusorn school was destroyed despite the efforts of the Kantharalak fire brigade who had the blaze under control within 30 minutes.

Staff preparing for the start of term had called electrical engineers after hearing a bang from a store room.

A short is believed to have caused the fire that quickly took hold.

So did they check the store room after hearing the bang to deduce it was an electrical problem, isolate the system then call the engineers?

Or just leave the power connected to short-out and catch fire later?

My daughter's school (a 3 to 15yo large infants school). Waiting to hear whether it affects her programme - very unlikely as she studies on the other side of the campus from the kindergarten years.
