If "Twitter" were a newspaper it might publish readers letters.

It might choose not to publish any readers letter.

It's choices would reveal its bias.

Nothing new about that, it has been the way of the print media since pre-Hearst days.

Freedom of the media in the US means that the media may choose to publish, televise (see Fox News), or disseminate on the internet, many different opinions.........it's "up to them".

It may also choose not to publish, televise (see Fox News), or disseminate on the internet, some of those opinions.

Problem for the Right is that it doesn't control Twitter in the way that it controls other media (see Fox news).

God Bless America.

Cool thing about this post is that you accidentally hit the nail on the head and you didn't even mean to and in an opposite way than you intended.

Twitters actions and the laws they operate under are contrarian. The claim to be a platform, which provides them certain level cover, but operate as a publisher - which you accidentally noted.

Being a platform requires neutrality by law, which they clearly do not have any intention of following.

You mean like in Tiananmen square.

State National Guards were assembled primarily for domestic natural disasters and civil disturbance. This clearly falls into the latter. Bush introduced them to Iraq and Afghanistan only because he didn't have a draft to fall back on and Congress ….thankfully ..didn't give him one.

No sympathy for rioters, looters and also shooters from the left and right. The police will deal with them with full weight of the law. They represent a small portion of the peaceful protesters waiting for the right messaging and corrective policies from the leaders to stop demonstrating. The one with the biggest microphone should lead in the unification but sadly he is more a provocateur than a healer.

Does that include the rioters illegally toppling statues as they see fit?

Past time that he should have moved to PARLER.

Twitter is toxic.

Maybe off topic, let's see as your post hasn't been removed...

Sounds perfect for trump - a platform for the alt right and others. Parler exists as an echo chamber for hard-right views. It’s easy to find anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and pro-conspiracy theory hashtags

To state that it is illegal, you got to state the law. Even the little known Veterans' Memorial Preservation Act only contain loosely-connected provisions for grave desecration and destruction of federal property. Something that Trump loosely threaten and lack concrete substance.

Just so we are clear, you are seriously going to try and argue that mobs going around toppling statues is..... Legal?
