SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia's most populous state reported 14 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with a growing cluster at a pub used by freight drivers travelling the country adding to fears of a second national wave of the virus.

Swine breeders asked to limit prices

The coronavirus strain, found among quarantined Thai returnees from abroad, is the mutated G strain, which has been spreading in the United States and Europe. Thailand saw three new confirmed Covid-19 cases, including that of an Egyptian soldier, in state quarantine without any death over the past 24 hours, Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman of the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), reported today (July 13) – the 49th day without any domestic case.

The CCSA is asking anyone who thinks they may have had physical contact with an Egyptian soldier, who was on a short visit to Thailand last week and later tested positive for COVID-19, to come forward for testing, said CCSA spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin told a news briefing today (Monday).
