Aliexpress packets from China, back to normal?

Recommended Posts

If I read the Thailand Post release correctly packages from China are now accepted (actually from  some time ago). Was wondering if all back to normal or if things are getting delayed/stuck/lost in transit?

Waiting now,4-5 weeks for some parcels at the moment,

they were sent Singapore post, and left China within a week

of ordering, so it seems they have been hovering over the

China Sea for a few weeks now.

I strongly recommend ordering through Lazada.  Particularly lazmall/lazglobal venues.   Haven't seen overseas (China) vendors take longer than 2 weeks for package to arrive.   Usually about 6-8 days to arrive into Thailand.   Then 1-2 days for Kerry to deliver after it clears customs/lazada hub.    They have really improved the tracking also (via the lazada app anyway).   100% delivery rate in my experience.

Also, you can use COD in 95% of the orders.   If they don't deliver, you lost nothing.

A friend of mine stopped using AliExpress after the 3rd package never arrived.   He did claim one and got refunded immediately; the other two were apparently inexpensive enough and not worth the trouble.   But decided to just use Lazada exclusively.

I found Lazada from China lately takes around three weeks. This as an average from 8 shipments.

Not using Aliexpress as often it took up to two months for delivery to arrive.

I ordered 2 items from China sellers on Lazada last week.

One took 6 days, the other 7 days.

Just for info, one of the items was a high pressure adjustable spray nozzle for my Karcher which was broken, and for which Karcher wanted 2200 Baht.

The China item was 187 Baht, delivered to my doorstep, and looks and function exactly the same.

I ordered something  small on Lazada from China about two weeks ago. It arrived after about a week.

I had another small parcel from DHL Singapore, I think it took about 3days.

My last order from AliExpress was in March. The tracking showed me for a long time the parcel was in China ready to be exported. I waited, and waited, and waited some more. I informed the seller that I want the parcel and I am willing to wait. After about 3 months I cancelled the order and I got a refund right away.

I could also see in the tracking that the parcel was returned to the seller inside China.

Personally I will continue to buy from AliExpress. They can't change if there is a problem with the export and at least I got a refund right away. No hassle.

I am interested to see how the delivery situation is now.

Just got a phone case, took 2 months !!  Will never use Aliexpress again.

You sound like one of my customers who seem to have no idea that there is a worldwide pandemic going on and there is reduced flights because of this

It's not Aliexpress fault - postal services are in dissaray around the world because of reduced flights etc

You obviously have to charter extra planes to make sure all your parcels are delivered within days.

And obviously you have to pay for it. ????

It is  Aliexpress fault.

They just take your money and lie.

Strange how Lazada stuff from China arrives but AExpress never turns up.

I will never use them again.

I use Lazada for things I actually want, usually 2/3 days local and 6/8 days from China.

I use AliExpress and Wish for “ bargains “ , things I am in no real need for but seem like a great deal. Delivery time varies from 2 weeks to ...... well never !!

Currently  waiting on 3 items , ordered June 16 and June 25 ( Ali ) and May 11 ( Wish ) all are passed their estimated delivery and I suspect I will claim a rebate , usually after 3 months.

Verdict:

Success rate:

Lazada 100%
AliExpress and Wish 50%

had stuff from Lazada come although a few days longer than average delivery times pre-C19
had fedex delivery from CN arrive in less than 48 hours after parcel was handed to fedex
and that included a "clearance delay" status this side for 18 hours
got another fedex parcel going to UK sent same time which is still sat in Guangzhou for last few days
so it looks like goods may just be delayed as they wait for space on flights
but it seems flights to here have enough space

have ordered stuff on AE 21/5. still not arrived. that's 2 months. received email that the items got extension on delivery to 20 sept or somewhere (thats 4 months!!). But.. you check the delivery, and usually the packet leaves china quite fast. It get's stuck in singapore or thailand. I don't know who is the guilty one here, but I stopped ordering from AE until these things are settled.
