Sure he is. He's so enjoyed being harrased daily by most of the so called journalists in the country, being mocked by other country's leaders, and his family being attacked over everything, that he's desperate for another 4 years of it.

He appears not to relish the prospect of it coming to an end.

trump provides no evidence because his claims are baseless.    He is scrambling around to find excuses to avoid facing a vote he knows he is in all probability going to lose.    trump no

  • Since Trump has used mail-in vote in every election since he is in office, I would think he consider it properly, securely and safe, or did he attempt fraud? On the other hand, if they can attend

Trump has already been proven correct. There is cheating. Here's is one to get you started.

"A former Democratic Congressman from Philadelphia, who served a prison term after being caught in a famous 1970s FBI sting, has been indicted for multiple election offences committed over the last six years, federal prosecutors said on Thursday.

The Justice Department said former Congressman Michael "Ozzie" Myers was charged with conspiring to violate voting rights by fraudulently stuffing ballot boxes in support of specific candidates in primary elections in 2014, 2015 and 2016."

Obviously the reason The Donald lost the popular vote by three million ballots cast.

Uh-oh, looks like he finally hit a nerve.

But I am frankly appalled by the president’s recent tweet seeking to postpone the November election. [...] But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate.

Yeah, I laughed so hard when I saw this on the news. Trump is being the ultimate boogeyman here. Tweet this to a crowd who already thinks he won't leave office. These people see Trump in their nightmares.

I actually don't care about the tweet. It's the reaction to it that is the news. This should be a 50 page thread by the end of the day.

Apparently, some Trump supporters consider trolling to be one of POTUS's main tasks. Sad.

1st, their not accepting fair defeat in the 2016 election was divisive in the extreme - and against the constitution, 2nd their attempting to mess with the 2020 elections by trying to do away with voter ID being required to vote is not strengthening American democracy. As usual, the vast silent majority can see through their silly games.

The Democrats "not accepting...." bit is a figment of your imagination and/or a Trump campaign talking point. It does not have a solid basis in reality and fact.

As for that "vast silent majority" you claim - do tell.

Daily insults from Trump supporters? Havin' a laff, are you?

On the other hand, I've never seen such bad language on TVF before Trump was elected. Some is so vile it can be regarded as hate speech against any posters that support Trump.

Yes, of course, Trump supporters always engage in a polite and respectful manner. As does Trump himself. Got to be quite out there to try and float that one.

As for the bad language etc., it's funny how you repeatedly fail to acknowledge any connection between Trump's rhetorical style and the obvious effects on political discourse. But then again, Trump supporters seem to have issues with anything to do with Trump and accountability.

This is peanuts compared to the privileges attached to the position.

Well, quite obviously, it was the vast silent majority which allowed him to win such a convincing majority of the "popular vote" in 2016!

Pre Trump normal was so swampy and corrupt that middle America chose a flawed non politician to lead them over a longtime establishment politician.

Seems pretty clear middle America doesn't want "normal".

I doubt that you could offer any meaningful metric showing things are less "swampy and corrupt" under the Trump administration, or even as a result of Trump's term. The usual made claims about "middle America" fail to make clear who falls under this label, and how exactly did their vote support your opinion. Nothing new.

Would you say that Trump is fully to blame for your bad language or just partially to blame ?

Brilliant !

Delay the election ! Keeping things the same(voting) is so important,so much more than ever!

America is under attack by the far left radicals . My country can't risk any  improprieties in a general election

And yet you support a President who notion of international negotiation is first to antagonize the opposing party, bring things to the brink, then back pedal. Not the best recipe for peace and stability. The same guy also like suing or threatening to sue anyone publishing unflattering things about himself. As for the last entry, big business - seeing as he's supposedly big business himself, and that many on his cabinet are, or how certain benefits were handed to big business, not sure you really thought that one out much.

And yet the greatest impropriety, which you seem to support, would be to not have the election.

IMO any Trump supporters will realise that he's just yanking the opposition chain. I certainly don't take it seriously.

Problem is, IMO, that Trump haters are so lacking, IMO, in a sense of humour that they take everything he says as gospel, and take the bait. If it's in the constitution Trump knows he can't change it, and if he didn't, he would have been so informed already.

I think the wizard believes he can change anything with an "executive order". Once the great Oz has spoken

You didn't seem to have that many issues when "improprieties" were associated with Russia, Trump or voter suppression.

Nah, you're thinking about that carbonated fruity pop that came in a dumpy shaped bottle with bits floating in it that came out in the 70's/80's - Oranjina!  Mind you, a bottle of that stuff probably has an IQ higher than Trump.

When I read the article headline, I naturally thought that his motive would be to wait until Covid had run it's course and voters could congregate safely at polling stations - not a bit of it, he couldn't care less - it's pure self-interest he's concerned with.

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet but per the article:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday raised the possibility of delaying the nation’s November presidential election despite its date being enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

This is false.  Congress sets the date of the election via federal law 3 U.S. Code § 1.  It's short and sweet.  Can't be more succinct.

Cornell Law School - 3 U.S. Code § 1.Time of appointing electors

The electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed, in each State, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, in every fourth year succeeding every election of a President and Vice President.

(June 25, 1948, ch. 644, 62 Stat. 672.)
