New Air Asia routes from Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani start September 25th

Manager reported that budget airline Air Asia are adding twenty two new domestic flights out of and returning to Suvarnabhumi Airport commencing 25th September. 

 

The flights are in addition to the airline's Don Muang schedules that remain unchanged. 

 

There are five flights daily to and from Chiang Mai, three to Phuket, two to Krabi and one return flight to Surat Thani. 

 

The airline has announced a special promotional fare from 442.8 baht (not including service charges), said Manager.

and after you try to purchase a ticket it ends up around 1,200 baht ...  lol

Yes, in many cases. I avoid them in many cases as their product isn't a bargain with additional taxes and add-ons.

Priced a Swampy to Krabi returnflight for late September, without the 20kg checked luggage and the trip insurance, but with a Red exit row seat, and it came to B 1600 ($51). A pretty cheap fare and the flight times are good.

It looks like FD flights departing/arriving SBIA/BKK have the flight number pattern FD 41xx. Even number ex-BKK, odd number retun to BKK.

 

from monitoring sites in Asia that have been scheduled. Route Suvarnabhumi - Chiang Mai - Suvarnabhumi.

Travel to

FD 4100 from Suvarnabhumi at 06.40 a.m. to Chiang Mai 8.00 a.m.,
FD 4102 departing from Suvarnabhumi at 08.30 a.m. to Chiang Mai at 9.50 a.m.,
FD 4104 departing from Suvarnabhumi at 10.25 a.m. to Chiang Mai at 11.45 a.m.
FD 4106 departs from Suvarnabhumi at 4:35 PM. Arrives in Chiang Mai at 5:55 PM.
FD 4108 leaves from Suvarnabhumi at 8:20 PM. Arrives in Chiang Mai at 9:40 PM.

 

Return

FD 4101 departs from Chiang Mai 8:30 AM. Arrives at Suvarnabhumi 09.55 AM.
FD 4103 leaves Chiang Mai at 10.20 AM. Suvarnabhumi 11.45 hrs.
the FD 4105 from Bangkok 12.15. to Suvarnabhumi 13.40 hrs.
the FD 4107 from Bangkok 18.25 hrs. to Suvarnabhumi 19.50 hrs.
the FD 4109 from Bangkok 22.10 hrs. to Suvarnabhumi 23.35 hrs.

 

 

route Bangkok - Phuket - Bangkok flights. Take FD 4110 leaving Suvarnabhumi at 12:15 PM to Phuket at 13:55, FD 4112 departing from Suvarnabhumi at 2:10 PM, arrive to Phuket at 3:40 PM, FD 4114 departing from Suvarnabhumi at 7:40 PM, arrive to Phuket 8:45 PM, return FD 4111 depart from Phuket 14.25 PM. Arrive at Suvarnabhumi at 4:05 p.m.

FD 4113 departing from Phuket at 4.10 PM. Arrive at Suvarnabhumi 6.00 PM.
FD 4115 depart from Phuket at 9:15 PM. Arrive at Suvarnabhumi 22.55 hours.

 

Suvarnabhumi-Krabi-Suvarnabhumi route . Travel FD 4120 departs from Suvarnabhumi 10.55 hours arrives to Krabi 12:30 PM. FD 4122 leaves. From Suvarnabhumi 3.00 p.m. to Krabi 4.30 p.m. Return trip FD 4121 leaves Krabi 13.15 p.m. Arrive at Suvarnabhumi 2:30 p.m., FD 4123 depart from Krabi 17.00 p.m. Arrive at Suvarnabhumi 18.35 p.m. Suvarnabhumi-Surat Thani-Suvarnabhumi route to FD 4130 depart Suvarnabhumi 12.55 p.m. to Surat Thani 14.25 p.m. Return trip FD 4131 leaves Surat Thani 14.55 p.m. Arrive at Suvarnabhumi 4.20 p.m.

 

 

Imagine quite a few people will end up at the "wrong" airport for the first few days?

great for those only transiting bangkok on their way in and out of Thailand.

Been flying Air Asia since they started,  never had any problems an 95% on time

Me too...DMK became basically a Chinese Group Tour Terminal...but of course that's not an issue at the present time.
