webfact
Bangkok condo probed after infected Malaysian’s visit By The Nation The Public Health Ministry has launched an investigation after a visitor to Thailand tested positive for Covid-19 on his return to Malaysia. The Malaysian government is yet to confirm where or when he contracted the virus. The 46-year-old Malaysian man was symptomless when he returned to Malaysia on August 5 but the result of a second test on August 15 revealed he was infected with Covid-19. Health Ministry officials are investigating an unnamed condominium in Bangkok where the man is thought to have stayed and are preparing to screen residents there for Covid-19. There is a low risk that he contracted the disease in Thailand, said Dr Tanarak Plipat, deputy director-general of the Disease Control Department. “The investigation will seek the source of his infection, which is still a mystery since he was quarantined in Malaysia for 10 days,” he said. He also mentioned the new “D614G” mutation of Covid-19 discovered in Malaysia, which is reportedly far more infectious than existing strains. He said Thailand’s screening process did not need to be changed to detect the mutation. webfact
Tracing underway after Malaysian found with COVID-19 on return from Thailand Thai health investigators have been looking for an unknown number of people who were in close contact with a Malaysian man, who tested positive for COVID-19 after his return to his home country on August 5th. Disease Control Department Director-General Dr. Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai said today (Monday) that Malaysia’s IHR national focal point had notified its counterpart in Thailand about the infection of the 46-year old Malaysian, who left Thailand for Malaysia on August 5th. Asymptomatic, the man tested positive in a RT-PCR test on August 15th. He was said to be living in Bangkok and spent most of the time in-doors. Popular Post Thaiwrath
He also said that health investigators will also try to discover how the Malaysian man was infected and by whom. If you ever decide to start testing more people, as many other countries do, you might get nearer to finding why your "Covid numbers" are, allegedly, zero. No testing, no sign of said virus. Popular Post Crusader
Well, we have seen second waves in many countries now...just waiting for it here. In fact, some places deserve to be shut down for totally disregarding 'health procedures'. Hope it doesn't happen, but only time will tell. 2 2 1

It is well known that the virus constantly mutates . It is possible that a more deadly version appears ... it is also possible that a working vaccine will never be found . I am not a " doomsday prophet " , but for that the human species survives in the long run , it has to be greatly reduced ... We are just taught a lesson by a living planet , but hardly anybody sees this . 6
Popular Post brianp0803
Frequently Thailand reports foreigners tested negative on arrival and positive on the second coronavirus test. I wouldn’t be surprised if Thailand reports that they discovered he caught it on the plane ride to Malaysia and he did not have it when he left Thailand. But Thailand is quick to blame foreign countries when someone arrives in Thailand and test negative but test positive on the second coronavirus test.

In my opinion, Covid 19 is not the big deal making it out to be. It's a coronavirus that kills a fraction of a percent of the population, who had/have underlying health issues. Governments are lying about figures, such as including any death after infection as a Covid death. Can we all just grow up and move on?! Thats a bit of a dumb comment , perfectly healthy people are dying from this virus as welll and so do children so i think you should not make such assumptions .

Popular Post Ketyo
When you see photos of people in government quarantine facilities in some countries, it looks like they let people go to common areas for some time each day even though they are masked up and socially distanced. I guess these would be the ones who tested negative before. Sometimes these places are outside. For mealtimes or for the muslims when they do their prayers. And there are a few stories in the news of people who were negative when they went into quarantine testing positive afterwards. I wonder how many people catch it in quarantine facilities.
