webfact
Burst drainpipe swamps Senate building By The Nation Members of staff clean up lifts in the Parliament complex that were flooded after Tuesday morning's heavy rain. Continuous rain in Bangkok during the early hours of Tuesday (September 1) caused a drainpipe to burst and flood the Senate building in the new Parliament complex. A palm-sized hole developed in the drainpipe, located within the Senate building’s CCTV room, causing water to stream in and cause a waist-high flood. After seeing water flow out of the door, officials fearing that the water will affect the expensive equipment, broke down the door, causing the water to flow out and flood the first-floor hallway. Burst drainpipe in CCTV room causes flooding in Parliament. 1598935884_videoII.mp4 1598935884_video.mp4 There was sheer pandemonium when officials started showing up for work in the morning and podiums and sofas had to be removed from the flooded area. The eight lifts in the building also had to be switched off to contain the damage. Officials managed to plug the hole, while cleaning staff had the area sparkling clean by 9am. The Parliament was scheduled to meet at 9am to consider the draft of the Narcotics Act and multilateral agreement on tax incentives, but the meeting was delayed because MPs were caught in traffic jams. Popular Post ThailandRyan
Wonder which company got the bid with the backhander envelope and will now get a nice new contract for the repair, as Thailand never does warranties or allows returns at most locations. 3

Nothing like a good clean up after plugging a hole .. bit early for me though .. I thought the phrase 'sparkling clean' would be one of Roosters sarcasms, but I see it's from The Nation. So either one of their staff is of the same ilk, or perhaps a 'hole' licker and it was meant seriously? 1

I don't think so as there would have been only two legged sewer rats left in the building after the sweet smelling and clean four legged ones had escaped from their obnoxious and odious relatives.
