You really should check the facts before you post. Thailand IS on green countries lists of some countries, including EU members

Because in the real civilised world Thailand is not taken seriously by gov's, and rightly so.

  • 58 is laughable, especially for a country so popular with Chinese tourists. But as I said, if they only had 58 test kits, it would make sense.   I think the figures are high in the UK becaus

So do you think that Thailand has done very well? Or that the figures are a load of old guff?

In regards to the virus, Thailand has done extremely well. At an immense economic cost though.

Do you believe the Thai numbers?   WIth Covid in all countries around Thailand and illegal immigrants looking for work crossing the borders into Thailand it is unlikely that there is no Covid here.

But the UK has been totally honest?

Yes Thailand has done very well.

In Ranong, we have ZERO cases.

I am suspicios of UK figures. 15% death rate about 5 times normal.

IMO must be

1)health care not effective in UK.

 OR

2) have many more than 337,000 infection. 40,000 death to high for only 337,000 infection people. Probably not test enough.

*I know about UK not test or help old people. Send positive old man and lady to “care home” and spread so much.

That some of the reason.

Care homes across the UK accepted patients who tested positive for Covid-19, two surveys have showed, and could have been pressed into doing so.

Separate research from the Queen’s Nursing Institute charity, carried out in May and June and published yesterday, found a fifth (21%) of 163 UK care homes received positive Covid-19 patients from hospital.

Very stupid do that.

Can’t help wondering if this weird old bloke dresses as a woman to write these posts

Thailand is on the U.K. list of places safe to travel to that’s why you can get Travel Insurance for Thailand including cover for Covid19.

It's 121st.  Not that it makes a blind bit of difference to a table of totally disparate figures.

He said based on the number of tests per capita of population the list you quoted is based on the total number of infections.

Maybe they're reading into the Junta leader's announcement that the streets will run with blood if the students don't shut up and do what they're told...

Almost as barmy as your claims that lack of international tourism wouldn't bother Thailand.

I saw it in an interview straight from the horse's mouth, but no convincing people that are quite happy to make things up.

The solution is simple..

.......yes, don’t test and bury your head in the sand.

The governments of the civilised world know it hence why Thailand is still stuck in the red zone. Not everyone can be brainwashed

We are talking about the UK here, not the civilized world, stay on topic. There's obviously no need for mass testing if no symptoms are spreading.

Thailand is on all green lists from most countries including israel, europe to the United States, just not on the UKs, because, well it's actually you guys who are brainwashed.

European greenlist: Those on the list are Algeria, Australia, Canada, Japan, Georgia, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay.

Everyone can enter the UK right now, they just tell people to quarantine at home with zero enforcement, including Thais and Americans. As always everything the uk government does is nothing but a farce.

Can I remind you that this section of the forum is for people to ask questions of and receive answers from the British Consulate. This thread specifically concerns  why British people can't return to the UK, from Thailand, without the necessity of 2 weeks quarantine.

It isn't intended to provide a platform for some blowhard to have a rant about Britain.

Your second paragraph is just nonsense.

Oh really? Are you familiar with the method used to “test for virus”, the famous PCR test?

Believing it tests for any virus is nonsense, especially if you can read and understand what it does.

I don't make things up, obviously being judged by your own standards.

OP here.

Four days have passed, and eight pages of comments, yet none I can see from any representative of the British consular team.

Isn't this supposed to be a Q&A subforum??

Thailand is now on the Safe List of countries, and quarantine in the UK is not needed after travelling from Thailand.
